BHC Athletic Complex
Baseball Stadium
Black Hawk College’s Baseball Stadium features seating for 500 with elevated concourse views and a FieldTurf sand-based surface. The field includes full Musco lighting, a 10-inning scoreboard and a sound system. Players benefit from lighted bullpens, hitting cages and oversized dugouts with overhead storage for up to 60 players. A 14-person press box supports game-day operations and live streaming for fans near and far.
Softball Stadium
With seating for 200, the Softball Stadium offers a top-tier playing surface, full field lighting and a 7-inning scoreboard. Lighted bullpens, hitting cages and dugouts with storage for 40 players support team performance. Fans enjoy elevated concrete seating and live-streamed coverage. A dedicated press box and sound system enhance the game-day experience.

West of the Health Sciences Center
Soccer Fields
Black Hawk College’s soccer fields feature natural sod playing surfaces maintained for optimal performance. Permanent goals, aluminum bleachers and a dedicated scoreboard offer a quality experience for players and fans. Players have access to covered shelters and benches on the sidelines. Field lines are maintained with an autonomous robotic painter, ensuring consistent, professional-quality markings throughout the season.

West of the Health Sciences Center
Building 3 Gymnasium
Home to Black Hawk College basketball and volleyball, the Building 3 Gymnasium seats up to 1,000 fans in a vibrant game-day atmosphere. The facility includes six basketball hoops, two scoreboards and acoustical baffling for improved sound quality. Live streaming and a full sound system enhance the experience for both in-person and remote spectators. Convenient features include adjacent locker rooms for home teams, a dedicated officials room and a concession stand for guests.

Fitness Center
The newly developed Fitness Center at Black Hawk College supports athletes and casual users alike. It features two walking/jogging lanes, a variety of cardio machines including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and rowers, plus a stair climber for high-intensity training. Users can access both a plate-loaded free weight area and selectorized strength equipment for full-body workouts. Vending machines, lock boxes and 24/7 security camera monitoring add comfort and peace of mind for all users.

Golf Practice Areas
Black Hawk College offers dedicated indoor golf training facilities to support year-round skill development. The Golf Practice Room features a Trackman simulator hitting bay for advanced swing analysis and a secondary bay for additional reps. Nearby, the putting practice area includes an angulating turf green with five pin-placed holes and a chipping zone for short-game precision. These spaces help student-athletes fine-tune their game in a focused, controlled environment.
Home Team Locker Rooms
Our Volleyball, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball teams prepare for their games in comfortable and modern locker rooms.
Administrative & Sports Medicine Areas
The Perch
The Perch offers a comfortable lounge for student-athletes with soft furniture and a 60-inch TV. It includes a team meeting room with an 80-inch monitor for presentations and a quiet study area. The recruiting room provides a professional space with a 60-inch screen for visits with prospective athletes and their families.
Office Areas
The athletic office area houses the director of athletics, administrative assistant, head coaches and assistant coaching staff. Soft seating and an open layout help create a professional yet approachable space for athletes and visitors.
Sports Medicine Room
Staffed by a certified full-time athletic trainer, the sports medicine room provides treatment and recovery services. It features treatment and taping tables, hot and cold tubs and ultrasound and muscle stimulation equipment to support athlete wellness.
